How to Read a Peptide COA

Start with who issued the report, its unique report number and its reported date. This report is issued through Peptide Test Canada, whose logo appears at the top left. The report number is COA-2026-SC-03984, the reported date is October 26, 2026, and the end customer is Quantum-peptides.ca.

The report number appears in Sample Information, below the header. It is different from the sample ID, order number and verification code. Keep it handy when checking the certificate with the lab.

The Scan to Verify panel contains a QR code and a unique verification code: PTC-VBXDXE3C. Scan it, or open the verification link below, to compare the report with the record held by Peptide Test Canada.

Check that the report number, compound, lot and results agree with the document you received. A matching verification record authenticates the report; it does not show that every vial in the lot was tested.

This block identifies the sample that was tested. Cross-check these fields against the product and bottle label:

• Compound: Tirzepatide — this must match the product.
• CAS number and molecular formula: 2023788-19-2 and C₂₂₅H₃₄₈N₄₈O₆₈ — identifiers for the stated compound.
• Sample ID and lot: TIR-128 and 261142. Match the lot to your bottle; the sample ID identifies the item submitted for testing.
• Molecular weight: 4813.5 g/mol. This describes the molecule, not the amount of peptide in the vial.
• Peptide weight / content in mg: look at Net Peptide Content in the Analytical Results table. Verify that the measured amount is at least the mg stated on the bottle. Here, 19.34 mg is above the 15.00 mg label claim.
• Appearance and dates: lyophilized powder; received October 15, 2026 and analyzed October 26, 2026.

Read the specification and result columns side by side. This report has four rows:

• Compound Test: Tirzepatide is both the expected compound and the reported result.
• Net Peptide Content: a 15.00 mg label claim and a measured result of 19.34 mg. This is the amount to compare with the bottle’s stated mg.
• Peptide Fill Accuracy: 128.9% of the declared label claim (measured content ÷ label claim × 100). The lab’s stated specification is ≥90%; separately check whether the measured mg meets the full bottle claim.
• Chromatographic Purity: 99.7%, against the report’s specification of ≥98%.

The report defines chromatographic purity as the target peptide’s concentration relative to the total peptide concentration measured. It reflects peptide-related impurities, not salts, excipients or water, and is separate from the amount of peptide in mg.

Page 2 contains the Tirzepatide chromatogram, recorded by HPLC-MS/MS in MRM mode. Read it alongside the results table and the lab’s method description.

• The axes: detector response is plotted against acquisition time in minutes. The main Tirzepatide signal appears at approximately 4.2 minutes in this example.
• The trace: the displayed signal is evidence from the analysis. A single dominant peak in this selected trace does not, by itself, establish overall purity or rule out every impurity.
• The method: HPLC separates components, while tandem mass spectrometry measures selected ions to help identify and quantify the target compound. Use the lab’s reported purity and content results; do not estimate them from the picture alone.

Read the report’s scope as well as its results. This COA states that its findings relate to the sample as received, not every unit in the lot or batch. It is for research use only and is not a certification of safety, efficacy or suitability for human use.

If information is missing, mismatched or below the stated claim, ask the supplier or laboratory to clarify before relying on the report.
