Copper peptide and tissue repair, explained.

GHK-Cu is a copper tripeptide — three amino acids (glycine, histidine, lysine) bound to a copper ion. It was first identified in human plasma in 1973 by researcher Loren Pickart, who noticed that the molecule appeared to help aged tissue behave like younger tissue.
The body produces GHK-Cu naturally, but levels fall steadily with age — declining markedly between your twenties and your sixties. That drop tracks closely with the slower healing and thinner skin associated with ageing, which is exactly why researchers became interested in supplementing it.
